I think i am burning out. Today i was walking down the street. It was a bright sunny day, no clouds and the light seemed to flicker. Like a light bulb in its final hours. This is not the first time. Am i losing my vision? Figuratively and literally? I am so lost. So confused. I have been for a while now. I have been trying so hard for so long but nothing is getting better. Only worse. The world is passing me by. Something needs to change. I do not know what. Maybe everything... I am ready to break...

If you try to hard in the beginning, you may stumble and fall later on…
You work just as hard, but the results just don't seem to come…
And when they don't come, you lose your drive…
Soon you have to focus on other, more important things…
But you try to start having fun while you still can…
And then you begin to slip…
The worse it gets, the less you want to try…
So you just give up…

About three weeks ago I was accepted to a few different schools, I was starting working at a new place, and suddenly all of my friends stopped calling me. At my job I work 40+ hours in a week. In addition to working during the week a still have to take peoples photos every weekend. But I still make time to call my friends. None of these people have called me back. If I have the time, they should too.

These same people have a problem with me leaving to become something more. Instead of cherishing the time that they can have with me, they would rather ignore me?

I am also noticing that many people are flocking to America. This land of dreams and opportunity. I just do not see it. All I see are broken dreams, and missed opportunities. I get better job offers from other countries. I like the people better. No, I do not like other Americans.

So no, I do not like it here. I am going to California in October. After I become an established photographer I am moving. I just might go back to Paris
